About this test

Why corrected errors still count

A backspace removes the character from the final text but not from the keystroke record. The accuracy score therefore reflects the mistakes you actually made, not only the mistakes you left visible.

Precision before speed

Use the first pass to keep accuracy above 95 percent. Once the error rate is stable, raise your pace in small steps rather than trying to force a new speed.

The two minute format

Two minutes is short enough for a daily check and long enough to reveal rhythm breaks that appear only after the first minute.

What accuracy should I aim for?

Aiming for 95 percent or higher is a practical target for everyday typing. Beginners should prioritize accuracy before speed.

Why did my WPM drop on the second minute?

Fatigue and attention drift reduce sustained speed. That is exactly what a longer test is designed to measure.
